Ocean Dunes
King Island Tasmania
OD_01.jpg

King Island, a remote gem halfway between Tasmania and mainland Australia, boasts a golfing landscape transformed in recent years.  Discovered in 1799, the island previously offered only a modest 18-hole course.

The arrival of Cape Wickham Links in 2015, followed by Ocean Dunes in 2016, catapulted King Island onto the world golfing stage.

Ocean Dunes, designed by Graeme Grant, presents a thrilling links experience along King Island's rugged west coast.  Facing the Southern Ocean, the course's dramatic terrain and relentless winds create a challenging, unforgettable round.  Australian Golf Digest aptly describes it as an "extreme golf" rollercoaster.

This 18-hole course, inspired by Scotland's finest links, weaves along two kilometers of spectacular coastline.  Subtle, undulating greens blend seamlessly with the natural landscape, providing a consistently stunning backdrop. The two signature par-3s, overlooking the Bass Strait, are particularly memorable but the near-constant 360-degree ocean views make every hole unique.  A well-appointed clubhouse, bar, and pro shop complete the experience.  Ocean Dunes is a truly exceptional destination, for experienced and adventurous golfers alike.
